Emma is an experienced researcher, strategist and educator, having spent the last 17 years working across industry and academia. Her expertise and interests span the fields of design, strategy and innovation. She is highly experienced in using design-led approaches to help organisations innovate, develop, and ultimately achieve their strategic objectives.
Working with Strategy Story, Emma brings a wealth of experience in design-led approaches, using solid, qualitative research and co-creation methods to developing meaningful insights with communities and organisations. She also brings experience in helping organisations use design strategically to enhance their offering.
Prior to founding her own Research and Strategy consultancy, Emma held Senior positions at international design consultancies Graven and MadeBrave, and academic positions at Lancaster University and The Innovation School at The Glasgow School of Art.
Clients Emma has worked with range from small, independent operators to multi-nationals including Nestlé, VW, Medtronic, Creative Scotland, BBC Scotland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Jacobs and RBS.
